If there is one thing that we Oregonians love more than outdoor life, it is a craft beer that makes the top of that list and “Goonies”. So what do Oregon craft beer and “Goonies” have in common? Two things, Festival of the Dark Arts and, Astoria, Oregon.


Prepare to immerse yourself in a macabre world of rare stouts and captivating performances at the Festival of the Dark Arts. Upon arrival, you’ll be entranced by the ice, glass, ink, and fire craftspeople*.” There are several stages full of live music and fanciful performances. “And your palate will darken with delight as over 80 exquisitely unique stouts overflow the Fort George block*.” Prepare for a magical weekend in Astoria, Oregon.

This beer starts off with a strong whiff of milk chocolate and roasted barley, its dark opaque color clearly matching its aroma. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, caramel and toasted bread envelope the sense. A moderately full body lets the flavors linger. 6.1%

Brewed with black strap molasses and licorice, dry spiced with cherry bark and vanilla bean. 50% aged in bourbon, wine and new Oregon oak barrels. 11.4%
